Endowing Scouting's Future
The Tribute
Fund
The Theodore Roosevelt Council Executive Board has
determined all gifts to the Tribute Fund will be put in the Endowment
Fund. The principle given will be restricted, it will never be spent.
Thus your contribution becomes a lasting gift.
Gifts may be made to the Tribute
Fund in any amount, beginning with $10. The next of kin, or person you
are honoring, is notified that you have contributed, but the dollar
amount is not revealed. The gift is also listed in the council's
bi-monthly newsletter - The Charger.
You can make a contribution as a memorial when a friend, loved one, or
fellow Scouter passes away. Or use the Tribute Fund often to say Happy
Birthday, Congratulations, and for other special occasions.
The Tribute Fund is a wonderful way
to recognize or memorialize others, while helping insure youth are
touched by Scouting's values.

James E. West
Fellowship
The James E. West Fellowship Award is bestowed on all individuals who
donate at least $1,000 to the Endowment Fund. The amount must be in
addition to their annual " Friends of Scouting" contribution.
The James E. West (named after the first Chief Scout Executive of the
Boy Scouts of America) Fellows are recognized in several ways. Their
name is added to a plaque kept in the council service center. James E.
West Fellows also receive a knot to wear on their uniform and a
beautiful certificate.
A person may give $1,000 and become a James E. West Fellow, or give
money in honor of someone else and have them named a James E. West
Fellow. The principles taught in the Scout Oath & Law have not changed
since 1910. They will remain true for future generations. |

Scouting
Heritage Society
The Heritage Society of the Theodore Roosevelt Council recognizes
individual who have:
-
Put the Theodore Roosevelt Council Endowment Fund in their will, or
-
Made an outright cash donation to the Endowment Fund of at least
$5,000
-
Utilize some other investment vehicle to benefit the fund for at
least $5,000.
Those who belong to the Heritage Society have their name engraved on a
beautiful plaque that hangs in the council service center. They also
receive a certificate and pin. The Heritage Society holds an annual
dinner for all its members |

The 1910
Society
To qualify for this prestigious recognition, an individual, company or
organization must donate $25,000 or more to the Council Endowment Fund.
Pledges are acceptable, but must be honored within five years of the
date of pledge. Recognition will be given for gifts of cash, stocks,
bonds, and trusts, or other assets that can easily be converted to cash.
The levels of gifts to the 1910 Society are named after the early founders
of the Boy Scouts of America, and include:

Earnest Thompson Seton Member - - $25,000
-
Daniel Carter Beard Member - - $100,000
-
Theodore Roosevelt Member - - $500,000
-
Waite Phillips Member - - $1,000,000
The
recognition for the 1910 Society members includes a leather bound edition of
the Boy Scout Handbook, distinctive lapel pin, and parchment
certificate. While the revenue goes to the council, the recognition comes
from the National Council of the Boy Scouts of America. |

The Founders
Circle
An individual may qualify for The Founders Circle by making a deferred
charitable gift for the benefit of a local council endowment fund
of the the donor's choice. To qualify, the gift must have a minimum
value of $100,000.
There are four levels of recognition
available to those who seek membership in The Founders Circle.
Membership for each level in indicated by the appropriate lapel pin and
on the certificate received by each member. Although this gift goes to
the Theodore Roosevelt Council, it is a Nationally recognized award. The
levels are:

Bronze - - $100,000 minimum gift

Silver - - $250,000 minimum gift
-
Gold - - $500,000 minimum gift
-
Platinum - - $1,000,000 minimum gift
