What is Bear Claw?

Youth leaders are provided with leadership and teambuilding skills to manage the troop program.  Participants experience and observe the stages of team development through experiencing a  month in the life of a troop, including patrol and troop meetings, program, and an outpost trip. Participants acquire a toolbox of leadership skills including planning, conflict resolution, and evaluation.

Our objective is for the participants to have fun and to return to their troops with enthusiasm and ideas that will help make their job a lot easier and improve the troop’s program.

Check out photos from the 2007 courses at Onteora and Schiff.
